The National Chairman of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), Prince Uche Secondus, has warned National Leader of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Asiwaju Bola Tinubu and Information Minister, Alhaji Lai Mohammed against politicising the killing of over 200 people in Plateau last weekend.
The party chief made this known on Friday when a presidential aspirant, Datti Ahmed paid a courtesy visit on him at the party’s National Secretariat in Abuja, his media aide, Ike Abonyi said in a statement.
Secondus wondered why the APC could not simply admit its failings but has “been trying to play politics with what is clear to all discerning minds that they have failed woefully.”
The PDP Chairman singled out Tinubu and Mohammed as leaders of the pack of APC leaders trying to use propaganda to cover-up their party’s failings leading to the killings.
Secondus said, ,“Tinubu, Lai Mohammed (ought to) stop politicising deaths of Nigerians. Stop using propaganda to deceive people over the killings.”
He further accused the APC of adopting double standards in its fight against corruption, saying the PDP will soon expose incontrovertible evidence of corruption against President Muhammadu Buhari.
“Nigerians know the double standard in APC over corruption and we will expose them when the time comes. You can full the people sometimes but you cannot full them all of the time.
“Buhari, APC have nothing to offer, economy, insecurity and unemployment are worsening. APC administration is arresting people out of fear and desperation,” he added.
