For credible information leading to the arrest of his slain aide and his driver, Kogi State Governor, Yahaya Bello is offering N100 million bounty.
Bello made this known while on a condolence visit to the families of his aide, Alhaji Yusuf Adabenege, and his driver, Zubairu Musa, who were assassinated last Friday at Oro outskirts of Okene town by unidentified gunmen.
Adabenege, a custodian of the masquerade called “Sementi”, and two others, Zubairu Musa and Yakubu Mohammed, were driving a Ford Ranger Pick-Up van when the gunmen rounded them up and opened fire on them.
The governor’s aide and Musa died on the spot while Mohammed died later in the hospital.
Bello, who visited the families of the deceased on Wednesday, urged anyone with credible information to come forward as they would be rewarded with N100 million upon the arrest of the perpetrators.
He assured anyone that comes forward to provide such information of their protection and secrecy.
The governor vowed to do anything possible to ensure that the perpetrators are apprehended, hence his decision to announce a N100 million bounty.
He said anyone with credible information could contact him directly via text message to his mobile number, reach out to any of the security agencies in the state or any government appointee, reiterating that such person’s identity would be protected.
