The social media space in Nigeria has gone agog following the arrest of Simon Ekpa, the self-acclaimed disciple of Nnamdi Kanu, leader of the proscribed Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB).
Finland authorities arrested the popular pro-Biafra separatist agitator in his apartment in the city of Lahti on Thursday, according to reports.
He was billed to grant a newspaper interview before his arrest, it was further learnt.
Ekpa has repeatedly ordered the people of the South-East to observe a sit-at-home and boycott the general election billed for Saturday, February 25 and Saturday, March 11.
The Ebonyi indigene’s pro-Biafra rhetoric is believed to be fuelling killings in the South-East.
Many Nigerians have taken to Twitter to react to the arrest.
You can cook for an entire village & get away with it. But when village people cook for you, you are Amala & Ewudu!!
Simon Ekpa will be tried for murder & for terrorism. His miserable life is over!!

Simon Ekpa is actually a mockingbird. Reports have it that man has singing ma nke ajuru ya, ma nke ajughi ya. Some of his foot soldiers in Nsukka axis in Enugu state and other parts of the southeast were picked up silently today by security agencies. ðŸ˜
