Progressives Friends Foundation (PFF), a socio-political group has said that any support given to President Goodluck Jonathan will be in the best interest of Nigerians because of identifiable and measurable achievements of his administration.
In a statement signed by its Director-General, Chief Pat Ifeanyi Oramah, the group said “The result of his integrated agricultural approach wherein value-chain is put on the front-burner has revolutionised agriculture in Nigeria. Rice yield has quadrupled over a very short period. Massive foreign investment in agriculture has been recorded as never has been in the annals of this country.
“Silos have been built across the country as an answer to our age-long food wastage problem. Our farmers are not only getting more sophisticated, they are keeping pace with their counterparts in the advanced countries”, the statement added. The group stated also that massive job creation has been witnessed under the present administration, saying airports are all receiving face-lift.
“Our road networks are receiving attention like never before. The economic implications of this in both time and safety cannot be over-emphasised. The Benin-Ore road that seems to have overcome previous administrations has, practically, been “reined” in by this administration, for instance.”
The group also added that it will a rally next week for Jonathan’s re-election.
