RCCG urges Nigerians to pray for nation’s peace

2 Min Read

Pastor Sunday Aigbe of the Redeemed Christian Church of God (RCCG), Oyo Province on Saturday urged Nigerians to intensify prayers for God’s intervention in the crisis in Nigeria and the world as a whole.

Aigbe made the call at an all-night prayer session organised by the Church to pray for the country.

The News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) reports that the prayer programme tagged “from Grace to Grace’’ was attended by members from 10 parishes that made up the province.

Aigbe said all the country needed was God’s mercy and grace to move forward from its present problems.

“Let God appear in our nation, we need His presence to be secured; there will be sound peace when the Lord Almighty appears.

“We need Him to perfect all things that concern us as a nation and establish truth,” he said.
In his sermon, a Zonal Pastor, Festus Adelolu said grace was multidimensional in its capacity, adding that it could empower one to labour profitably.

“Grace can make you see beyond where you are, until you see where you are, you may not be able to reach where you ought to be,” he said.

Adelolu urged the congregation to surrender and rededicate their lives to Jesus, stressing that grace could only work for one rooted in Jesus Christ.

The highlight of the programme includes drama, song ministrations, prayers, and singing and dancing in celebration of God’s grace.

NAN reports that the congregation began the prayers by reciting the first and second stanzas of the national anthem. (NAN)
