Ras kimono’s Wife Dies Three Months After Burying Husband

Tragedy struck the home of the late Reggae maestro, Ras Kimono as his widow Efe has died three months after he was buried.

She died in the early hours of Sunday after attending a family function on Saturday.

Family sources say all had seemed well during the function, she however complained of feeling unwell in the early hours of Sunday.

She reportedly gave up the ghost as she was being rushed to the hospital at 3am.

Before her death, she was actively involved in the burial ceremony of her husband and other activities involved in bidding the icon farewell.

Her demise has come just three months after her husband Ras Kimono one of Nigeria’s greatest Reggae icons died in June 2018.

The Reggae icon had just celebrated his 60th Birthday with family and friends before dying suddenly.

He was also billed to travel to the United States the next day when he had complained of not feeling well.

He was rushed to a hospital in Ikeja, and then later taken to Lagoon Hospital where he eventually gave up the ghost.

Ras Kimono was a Nigerian reggae artist whose debut album ‘Under Pressure’, led by the single ‘Rum-Bar Stylée’, was a big hit in the Nigerian music scene in 1989.

Before he released his solo album, he was in a group called The Jastix along with Amos McRoy and Majek Fashek.
