Rangers’ stakeholders urge players, coaches to win remaining league matches

1 Min Read

Rangers’ Stakeholders Forum, a non-governmental organisation, on Saturday urged the club’s players and coaches to intensify efforts to win their remaining league matches.

The Chairman of the forum, Ike Ugwu, told the News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) in Enugu that the club should not allow its leadership of the league to slip out of its hands.

Ugwu said that the stakeholders met on Friday to brainstorm on how to chart the way forward for the club to win their remaining league matches.

“We will not allow this league to slip past us after 31 years of trophy drought.

“So, we the Rangers super fans have made some monetary promises to the players and coaches to motivate them the more.

“We resolved to give them all-round support in the remaining seven matches, as we anticipate a favourable league end for the club,’’ he said.

Ugwu said that the stakeholders were behind the club,  “even  as we implore them to show more commitment and character in the remaining matches’’.

Rangers International FC of Enugu have seven matches to play before the end of the Nigerian Professional Football League (NPFL),2015/2016 season.
