Nigerian film “Queen Lateefah” has made an impressive debut, grossing ₦57.7 million in its opening weekend.
Directed by Adeoluwa Owu and produced by Wumi Toriola, the movie has become the highest-grossing Nollywood film in its opening weekend for a non-holiday period.
It’s also the highest Nollywood weekend by an independent distributor in 2024, according to Cinemax Nigeria.
The film tells the story of Lateefah Adeleke, a businesswoman with secrets. The cast includes Kunle Remi, Femi Adebayo, Nancy Isime, and Bimbo Manuel.
“Queen Lateefah” aims to surpass ₦250 million in ticket sales.
