French champions, Paris Saint Germain, look set to seal a loan deal with Internationale Milan for ace Mauro Icardi with an option to buy.
The Argentine international has been told he can leave the Italian club which led to him being offered to PSG and PSG sporting director Leonardo Araújo is also said to be considering the deal.
Inter have tried to offload Icardi all summer with him being linked to Manchester United, then Tottenham Hotspur, all deals which fell through. It is clear that the Argentine is not a part of coach Antonio Conte’s plans for the 2019/2020 season.
Icardi, 26, who has delivered 121 goals in 219 for the Italian side, has rejected the other teams who have shown interest in him this summer.
Icardi is under contract with Inter Milan till 2021 and sources have confirmed that although there are ongoing talks between the two clubs, it will be expected that the player extends his contract before an option to buy for around 70,000 pounds is inserted into the deal.
Sources have confirmed that Icardi will be jetting into Paris later today to undergo his medicals ahead of his switch to the Parc des Princes.
PSG has been looking for a striker after Ederson Cavani and Kylian Mbappe both fell to injuries which could keep the players out of their champions league group A opener.
