In a recent interview with Naija FM in Lagos, the evicted Big Brother Naija All Stars housemate, Prince Nelson, opened up about the touching reason behind his participation in the reality show. Prince disclosed that he initially turned down the opportunity to enter the Big Brother House but reconsidered due to a heartfelt promise made to his close friend, Alex Unusual.
Prince, who had been part of the original list of housemates for a previous season, explained his decision. He stated, “Alex was one of the reasons I came into the Big Brother House apart from promoting my own businesses and everything. She made me make a promise because I was one of the original housemates that were supposed to go into the House but I declined.”
It was this promise to Alex that ultimately led Prince to take the plunge into the Big Brother House when he received a call from the show’s producers. He continued, “But she made me promise that if at any point Big Brother ever called me again to come into the House, even if it is for one day, that I should come, even if it was just to say hello and leave, that she is going to be pleased. And I said no problem.”
For Prince, the call to return to the Big Brother House came at a convenient time, allowing him to fulfill his promise to Alex while also seizing the opportunity to promote his brand. He summed it up by saying, “So, when the call came, it came at a very convenient time. I was like, okay, it’s cool. I have a promise that I made to someone. I would fulfill the promise and I would also use the opportunity to promote my brand. So, it was a win-win for me.”
