Veteran Nollywood actor Zack Orji recently traveled to the United Kingdom for a post-surgery assessment. The Actors Guild of Nigeria (AGN) expressed their gratitude to President Bola Tinubu for his intervention in Orji’s health care.
In a statement, AGN President Dr. Emeka Rollas thanked President Tinubu for his support of the creative industry. Rollas also commended the First Lady, Sen. Oluremi Tinubu, and the President’s son, Seyi Tinubu, for their care towards the actor.
The Minister for Women Affairs, Uju Kennedy-Ohanenye, was also recognized for her efforts in ensuring Orji’s recovery. Orji himself expressed gratitude to his longtime friend, Ahmed Bala, for his unwavering support.
“We have witnessed the unprecedented support that President Tinubu is giving to the creative industry,” Rollas said in the statement. “This…shows his clear determination to uplift the sector…We find it necessary to appreciate him.“
The AGN President also extended appreciation to the Minister for Women’s Affairs and Orji’s friend for their roles in his recovery.
