The director-general of the National Broadcasting Commission (NBC), Modibbo Kawu, has been suspended by President Muhammadu Buhari over alleged corruption.
Kawu’s suspension followed months of being investigated on allegations of corruption by the Independent Corrupt Practices Commission (ICPC) over alleged N2.5 billion fraud.
Sources at the NBC reported that the most senior director in the commission had been directed to take over from the suspended DG.
