President Muhammadu Buhari has signed the new National Minimum Wage Bill into law.
Sources in the State House confirmed that the president assented to the bill today.

Recall that the National Assembly had in March approved the sum of N30,000 as national minimum wage for both the federal and state governments.
The two legislative chambers agreed to N30,000, which is higher than the N27,000 proposal submitted by the Presidency in January.
