President Muhammadu Buhari will be making a one-day trip to attend the 49th extra-ordinary summit of the Economic Community of West African States.
The summit will hold in Dakar in Senegal and will focus on issues of regional security and economic development.
This will be Buhari’s first trip after the Democracy Day celebration.
According to Sahara Reporters, President Buhari will depart Nigeria on Friday, June 3 and after the conclusion of the summit will return to Nigeria on Saturday, June 4.
This will be the president’s first trip out of Abuja since he cancelled a trip to Lagos scheduled for Monday, May 23 to commission projects done by Governor Akinwunmi Ambode.
The governor cancelled the trip due to ear infection and was replaced by Professor Yemi Osinbajo, the vice president.
