Bashir Baballe, a member of the Nigerian House of Representatives and a member of the Transparency Group in the house, has disclosed that President Muhammadu Buhari rejected former Chairman of the House Appropriation committee, Abdulmumin Jibrin’s version of the budget for lacking details.
Baballe said this in a recent interview with The PUNCH.
He said: “Mr. President returned the first budget, which both Senator Danjuma Goje and Jibrin worked on as the joint chairmen of the Senate and House Committees on Appropriation.”
Meanwhile, the members of the Transperency Group have collectively called on the police, the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission and the Independent Corrupt Practices and other related Offences Commission to proceed with the investigation into the allegations.
The group noted that all Principal officers being accused were “as guilty as their accuser”
