President Muhammdu Buhari on Thursday, October 17, received in audience South-East Governors and Selected Leaders from the Zone in State House, Abuja.
Among in attendance were Governor Ifeanyi Ugwuanyi of Enugu, Okezie Ikpeazu of Abia, Emeka Ihedioha of Imo, Senator Enyinnaya Abaribe, Senate Minority Leader representing South East Caucus in National Assembly, Senator Sam Egwu.
Also, former Senate President, Anyim Pius Anyim, former Governors Martin Elechi, Ebonyi State, Okwesilieze, Enugu State, Sullivan Chime, Enugu State, Achike Udenwa, Imo, and Ikedi Ohakim, Imo.

Earlier, The Herald reported that the Igbo Renaissance Circle (IRC) declared that the need for a president of Igbo extraction in 2023 was why South-East governors still support President Buhari’s re-election.
Chief Okoroafor Ezechi, the Chairman of the Strategic Committee of IRC, a pan-Igbo political think-tank group, disclosed this to newsmen in Enugu on Wednesday.
