President Muhammadu Buhari has ordered the suspension of 12 Directors of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) as well as the Commission Secretary, Olanipekun Olukoyede.
According to a report by Punch, the suspension was handed down on Tuesday by the Attorney General of the Federation, Abubakar Malami.
It was based on a directive by the Presidential Panel investigating the former acting Chairman of the EFCC, Ibrahim Magu on Friday.

The report said further that the directors were ordered to vacate their positions to enable the investigative panel, dig deeper into the affairs of the anti-graft commission.
The AGF thereafter ordered the EFCC directors to vacate their positions in compliance with the presidential order on Tuesday.
