President Buhari is the Grand Patron of Hate Speech – Reno Omokri

2 Min Read

Author and Pastor, Reno Omokri has said that President Muhammed Buhari has no moral authority to lecture Nigerians on hate speech, as he himself is an author and orator of hate speech.

In a video posted to his Facebook, Omokri lambasted President Muhammed Buhari, and called out the Presidential hypocrisy with facts.

There is a pushback by the Buhari administration against hate speech. I find this hypocritical because the President is the grand patron of hate speech.

It is the height of hypocrisy and an insult for President Muhammed Buhari to lecture me on unity and hate speech because he doesn’t have the moral authority. President Buhari is the most divisive Nigerian leader ever.

“We are outraged by the hypocrisy being demonstrated by this man (PMB). How can a man who said those who gave me 5% of the vote cannot be expected to be treated like those who gave me 97% of the vote.

“He said that at the United States Peace Institute hosted by Ambassador Johnny Carson.

“I don’t support Independent People of Biafra (IPOB) in case the Department of State Service (DSS) is watching, but for the government to say they cannot arrest those who issued quit notice to Igbos living in the North, but they are now pressing for the re-arrest for Nnamdi Kanu shows the government is not sincere about unity.

“On the 15th of May, 2012, this man (PMB) said, “If what happened in 2011 should again happen in 2015, by the grace of God, the dog and baboon will all be soaked in blood.”

“Is that a responsible speech? If any of my children talk like that, I will spank them mercilessly. And Buhari said that and wants to sermonize on hate speech, he needs to draw a red line on himself.”

He also faulted the President for his 2015 interview to the Telegraph where he said Nigerians reputation for crime has made them unwanted in the United Kingdom.
