President Muhammadu Buhari has joined the academia in celebrating with former Executive Secretary of National Commission for Nomadic Education, Prof. Rashid Aderinoye, who turns 70 on Oct. 9, 2020.
Mr Femi Adesina, the Special Adviser to the President on Media and Publicity conveyed Buhari’s congratulatory message in a statement in Abuja on Thursday.
Buhari also felicitated with family of the Professor of Literacy and Open Distance Learning, his friends and professional colleagues, congratulating him for worthy and meritorious service to the nation.
He noted that the Professor started out as a Grade II teacher, and reaching the pinnacle of his teaching career through vision, wisdom and hard work.
According to the president, Aderinoye’s contribution to the development of education in Nigeria deserves commendation, particularly his research and attention to adult education.

He urged the scholar to continue using his wealth of knowledge and experience in serving the country, especially at a time that the government has prioritized education as most important step for development.
