President Muhammadu Buhari has returned to Maiduguri, Nigeria amid increasing attacks from Boko Haram insurgents.
The President who was attending the African Union Summit in Ethiopia has returned to show condolence to the people of Auno after Boko Haram launched an attack against them on Sunday.
According to The Nation, the itinerary of the President shows that he is expected to pay a condolence visit to Shehu of Borno to mourn the loss of the victims who lost their lives in the attack.
President Buhari who was welcomed by Borno state Governor Babagana Zulum will then head to the government house after visiting the Borno traditional ruler

It remains unclear if the President will go to Auno community to condole with the residents for security reasons.
A source who chose to be anonymous told The Nation “The President may visit Auno but we are not sure if security will allow him do so.”
