Players in the English Premier League (EPL) may be banned from tackling as part of new social distancing guidelines.
According to BBC Sport, official protocols were sent to players and managers on Tuesday which reveal that social distancing must be “strictly observed” along with new guidelines to adhere to.

The training sessions will be limited to 75 minutes, players will be tested for Covid-19 bi-weekly and required to fill out a daily questionnaire before training.
Also, Corner-flags, balls, cones, goalposts and even playing surfaces will be disinfected after each session.
The new rule will require players to have “meticulous personal hygiene and use of personal protective equipment (PPE), no congregation in communal areas, including but not limited to medical rooms and gym areas”.
Players will not be allowed to share transport with anyone to and from the training ground, and vehicle interiors shall be cleaned regularly. Team vehicles and public transport are prohibited.
Players are being consulted on proposed medical protocols for a return to training by the PFA. They have been given a condensed version of a 40-page document for them to read and adhere to.
English football has been on hold since March along with most leagues across Europe due to the pandemic.
