Controversial singer Habeeb Okikiola, popularly known as Portable, has revealed that he was invited to Davido’s wedding but missed out on being a groomsman due to a fallout with rapper Zlatan Ibile. During an Instagram live session, Portable shared, “I was invited for Davido’s wedding. If Zlatan Ibile hadn’t ruined my friendship with Davido, I’d have been among the groomsmen.”
The wedding of Davido and Chioma Rowland, held in Lagos, was a star-studded affair, attracting dignitaries such as Governors Ademola Adeleke (Osun), Babajide Sanwo-Olu (Lagos), Alex Otti (Abia), Godwin Obaseki (Edo), former President Olusegun Obasanjo, and the Ooni of Ife, HRH Adeyeye Enitan Ogunwusi. Celebrities in attendance included Zlatan Ibile, Ini Edo, Paul Okoye, Patoranking, Cubana Chief Priest, and B-Red.
The rift between Davido and Portable began after Portable accused Davido of giving him “bad advice” during a recent dinner in the United States, leading to Davido unfollowing him on Instagram. Portable later claimed that Davido abandoned him after using him to trend.
