The feud between Nigerian singers Portable and Davido has escalated, with Portable firing back at Davido after being unfollowed on Instagram. The controversy began when Portable accused Davido of giving him bad advice regarding a record deal. Portable alleged that Davido, who signed with Sony Music, advised him against joining the label and instead suggested Empire, which Portable perceived as a hindrance to winning a Grammy.
In a video message on Instagram, Portable declared that he doesn’t need Davido’s support to succeed or win a Grammy. He implied that Davido unfollowed him because he was no longer beneficial to him. Portable stated, “They tried to destroy me and quickly unfollowed me because I stopped being beneficial to them. Whether you help me or not, I will do my tour; whether you follow me or not, I will collect Grammy.”
