The Port Harcourt Electricity Distribution Company (PHED) on Monday apologised to its customers over power outage being experienced in Port Harcourt.
Mr John Onyi, the Spokesman for PHED, made the apology in an interview with the News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) in Port Harcourt.
He said the electricity outage in some parts of the city was first experienced around 4.20 p.m. on Sunday due to loss of power supply from the national grid.
“PHED wishes to inform customers within Port Harcourt metropolis that current power outage being experienced in the city is due to loss of supply from the national grid.
“The company is making effort with the Transmission Company of Nigeria (TCN) to ensure that electricity supply is fully restored to the city.
“PHED regrets any inconveniences caused by the outage and solicit customers’ patience and understanding while the outage lasts,” he said.
Onyi assured residents in the affected areas that repair works would be completed soon. (NAN)
