“Rivers people are happy to host the national convention. We are hopeful that the convention will lay the foundation for a new leadership of our great party.
“We are also optimistic that the leaders will win the 2019 election for the party. The convention will usher in great leaders for our party,” he said.
Nwanosike said that the state had made adequate preparations for a smooth national convention of the party.
He said that although there were some challenges at the Sharks Stadium, venue of the convention, the Security Committee was working hard to clear the delegates that would participate in the convention.
He also said that the committee was working with security agencies to ensure that the delegates and the venue are well-secured.
