Popular prophet predicts winner of Kogi governorship election

2 Min Read
Yahaya Bello

Governor Yahaya Bello of the All Progressives Congress (APC) has been predicted as the winner of Kogi state  governorship election scheduled to hold on Saturday, November 16.

Primate Elijah Babatunde Ayodele, the founder, INRI Evangelical Spiritual Church, in the course of prediction said though the people of Kogi state were completely tired of  Bello, the governor will win a second term.

Ayodele explained that his reason was due to the fact that the main opposition in the party, the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), is not organised to win the poll.

According to him, “People of Kogi are tired of the governor completely ,but PDP are not on ground, the PDP they have lost Kogi state by themselves, the fact remains that PDP is going oblivion in Kogi state.”

The prophet also said he foresaw rigging and manipulation in the day of the election and urged Melaye to be prepared for challenges.

The cleric, however, called on Senator Dino Melaye to brace up for the Kogi west senatorial district election to avoid getting a result he does not want.

The Herald earlier reported that the Senate on Wednesday, November 13,  approved the payment of a N10 billion loan to Kogi state.

President Buhari had earlier in October this year, sent a letter to the Senate, seeking approval for the payment of N10 billion to settle local debts incurred by Kogi State government as a result of the projects executed on behalf of the federal government.

The approval by Senate however met resistance by Senators from opposition party. The Senators questioned the timing of the approval of the loan.
