Popular Bishop And G.O. Accused Of Raping 20-Year-Old Church Member

A Popular cleric has been accused of raping a 20-year-old lady who is a member of his church.

According to reports, the founder and General Overseer of Radiant International Church, in Zambia, Bishop Cephas Mabo, was arrested after he was accused of raping the lady who attempted to commit suicide after the incident.

The cleric was arrested on Friday night after complaints were lodged to the police.

According to the victim, the man of God raped her in a bush where they had gone for fasting and prayer.

The Northern Province Police Commissioner, Rechard Mweene, confirmed the arrest of the popular cleric on Radio Mano News last night according to Dailymail Zimbia.

The Police boss was reported to have said that “the incident happened around 15:00 hours on Wednesday in the mountains along the Kasama-Isoka road.”

He further revealed that the man of God, 45, was arrested at his home in Kasama’s Malama compound and has since been remanded in prison.

Speaking about the victim identified as Ethel Namukoko who resides in Compensation compound, Kasama, the pOlice boss revealed that she “sustained a painful vagina from the ordeal.”

He added that “Ms Namukoko attempted to commit suicide following the rape ordeal and is currently admitted at Kasama General Hospital.”
