During the second leg of his Africa Tour, Pope Francis who visited Uganda has described Africa as a continent of hope.
In his opening speech in Entebbe, Pope Francis said his visit was “meant to draw attention to Africa as a whole: its promise, its hopes, its struggles and its achievements.
“The world looks to Africa as the continent of hope.”
Veteran Ugandan leader Yoweri Museveni who also added that he was honoured to host the Pope described his his compassion for the poor and his frankness of spirit as “an encouragement for all of us.”
