All Politicians Tie Charms On Their Waists- Lagos Lawmaker

2 Min Read

Hon. Moshood Oshun, member of Lagos state Assembly has confirmed the thoughts of many Nigerians by admitting that his fellow Politicians are into fetish practices,  as they all carry charms everywhere they go.

He made this disclosure while supporting the proposal to declare “Isese Day” which is a traditional Festival, a public holiday to be celebrated August 20, of every year.

Hon. Moshood said this at the Yoruba speaking Plenary after Mr. David Setonji, the Chairman House Committee on Home Affairs had raised the motion for Isese Day to be declared a public holiday like Osun state, where the public holiday was already being observed.

Oshun in a bid to buttress Setonji’s point said, all Politicians patronise black powers and that he could prove it by asking all the Lawmakers to stand up and pull up their cloths and everyone will be found guilty, as they all tie charms around their waists.

“We all tie charm within our waists, arms and even rob on our bodies. “All politicians are into charms. We all patronise black powers and we know where to go during elections and to what extent we seek black powers to win elections. We wear charms within our arms.

Other Lawmakers supported the motion. Mr. Abiodun Tobun of Epe 1,  said it is important to maintain tradition and culture which would help curb corruption and other social vices in Nigeria

Mr Kehinde Joseph who represents Alimosho II, also stated the virtues of Culture and Tradition should be upheld.

Victor Akande saw Culture and Tradition as an means to generate internal revenue.

It will bring about investment and boost our Internally Generated Revenue, IGR, in the long run,” he noted.

Mr. Wasiu Eshilokun, the Deputy Speaker, who presided over the plenary session,on behalf of the Speaker, Mr Wasiu Eshilokun, stated the motion will be looked into.
