Meanwhile, The Herald reported that Justice Senchi Z. Danlami of an FCT High Court has ordered the suspension of Comrade Adams Oshiomhole as National Chairman of the All Progressives Congress (APC).
The judge gave the order on Wednesday in Jabi following an application by one Oluwale Afolabi seeking an interlocutory injunction asking the court to suspend Oshiomhole, having been suspended as a member of the APC by the party in Edo state.
Joining the National Chairman and APC as first and second respondents, the appellant contended that since his suspension by the party, the party boss has not challenged it in court.
The appellant further argued that since the suspension temporarily deprived him of the privileges of being an APC member, Oshiomhole could not continue to act as national chairman of the party.
In his ruling, Justice Danlami held that the APC wrongfully kept Oshiomhole as National Chairman. He ordered that the first respondent stopped parading himself as National Chairman pending the determination of a substantive suit filed before the court.
The judge further directed the party to stop recognizing the first respondent as its National Chairman.
