At first he had been abducted off the streets in the usual style of the proscribed SARS department and put in a cell where he was reportedly made to pay for VIP section to avoid getting tortured.

After he was also made to part with more money for his freedom he discovered that his gold ring worth N100, 000 had been taken by a certain Officer Joy Ogah who was supposedly in charge of his personal effects. In his words;

“Just got robbed at Area C Surulere Police Station, Ojuelegba Lagos by an officer named Joy Ogah.

The Nigerian police with another form of robbery got arrested by some police men for no reason only for them to ask me to pay them for being arrested which I did.

We were also made to pay for the VIP section of their police cell to avoid hanging with hoodlums; bottom line is that they stole my gold ring worth 100 thousand naira.

I recorded all I came in with which included 2 gold rings, gold earrings and an iced out watch, only for them to give me my properties back without one of my gold rings.

Joy Ogah who was the officer in charge of the counter stole my ring and was backed by her colleagues.

 I was arrested for no reason with no evidence and was detained till mid night. I had to even pay the officers to make a call ………….joy Ogah is a criminal in police uniform; I want my gold ring back!”
