The Rivers Police Command said on Tuesday that it had commenced investigation into the killing of two security guards at the State High Court premises.
DSP Ahmad Muhammad, the Police Public Relations Officer in the command, told the News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) in Port Harcourt that the guards were killed on Monday night by assailants.
“ When we got the information, our men stormed the scene and discovered that the assailants had fled.
“ But from our initial analysis, it appeared the security men were sleeping when they were attacked.
“ From all indications, the assailants used hard objects to hit them on the head,” he said.
Muhammad said detectives from the command had commenced investigation to fish out the killers. (NAN)
