Azeez Ijaduade, a prominent movie director, was reportedly shot at a movie set in Ilisan Remo, Ogun State, by a police officer assigned to the Chinese expatriate during a year-end party. The incident occurred on Saturday at Napoli Hotel Iperu Remo, where members of the cast were gathered for a film shoot.
The hotel manager, Fakoya Adewale, alerted the Divisional Police Officer about the unfortunate incident, stating that the mobile policeman attached to the Chinese expatriate discharged a shot into the air during the Bramaj Company end-of-year party. Regrettably, the ammunition shell struck Azeez Ijaduade in the neck.
Azeez Ijaduade was promptly rushed to a hospital within Babcock University, Ilisan Remo, for urgent medical attention. According to Omolola Odutola, the Ogun State Police Command spokesperson, the actor/director is currently in stable condition, and investigations into the shooting have commenced.
“The Mobile Policeman has been identified, and the investigation into the shooting incident has commenced by the Command. Members of the public will be updated accordingly,” Odutola stated in a press release.
Additionally, Commander Mopol 16 has reached out to Azeez Ijaduade, confirming the actor’s stable condition. The Commander has taken responsibility for the medical bill, and he visited Ijaduade in the hospital. The actor is expected to be discharged soon, with updates to the public on his recovery.
