Police In Lagos Meet With Hoteliers Over Boko Haram Threat

The yuletide season is around the corner and security agencies are wary of the antics of terrorist groups that may want to take advantage of the period to foment trouble.

To this end, the Commissioner of Police in Lagos, Fatai Owoseni, has hinted at a meeting with hoteliers in the state to warn them of the threat posed by the terrorist sect, Boko Haram.

According to the commissioner, the meeting became necessary as a result of the alarm raised by the government of the United States of a plot by terrorists to launch attacks on some targets in Nigeria.

“It is true that we met with hotel owners. We met with many of them, especially the bigger ones that attract foreign guests. It is as a result of the warning from the US,” Owoseni stated.

He disclosed that the command had put up some measures to guide against the nefarious acts of terrorism during the yuletide.

Also, he appealed to Lagosian to be security conscious and assist the law enforcement agencies with information.
