The Commissioner of Police in Enugu state, CP Ahmad Abdurrahman, has tasked the Federal Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development Joint Technical Task Team (JTTT) on diligence.

The state’s Police Public Relations Officer, Daniel Ndukwe, who stated this in a statement on Tuesday in Enugu said the team was inaugurated by the commissioner.
Abdulrahman said that the eight-man team would oversee issues of emergency response to COVID-19 challenges of movement of food and agricultural inputs.
He also said that the team was saddled with the responsibility of ensuring unhindered movement of food and agricultural inputs in and out of the state.
“I charge you all to be diligent, determined and dedicated in working towards the achievement of terms of reference of this task team.
“I personally enjoin you to see the duty as a call to national service, considering the urgent need for the swift distribution of food and agro-allied products across the nation these trying times of the deadly COVID-19 pandemic’’.
He also directed the team to commence work immediately.
NAN reports that the JTTT task team members had Abdurrahman as Chairman and Mr Idoko Christian, State Director, Federal Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development, as Secretary.
Other members include Mr Ahmed Garba, DCP in-charge of Operations, as CP delegate and Chief Romanus Ezeh, Chairman, All Farmers Association of Nigeria, AFAN, Enugu State and Mr Okoro Samuel, Commander, NSCDC Agro-Rangers, Enugu State Command.
Mr Matthew Asogwa, Chairman, NURTW, Enugu State, Mr Pius Okafor, Chairman, Nigerian Association of Road Transport Owners, Enugu State and Mr Rex Arum, Chairman, NUJ Enugu State are also members.
