Police are still in search of the gunman who opened fire in the makeup department of a Macy’s store at a mall North of Seattle on Friday Night, killing four females, and one man before fleeing on foot.
“We are still actively looking for the shooter,” Washington State Patrol spokesman, Sgt. Mark Francis said at a News Conference.
“Stay indoors, stay secure,” he added.
The FBI has since been helping local authorities with dozens of police officers out in search for the suspect.
The FBI Seattle office said on Twitter that “it has no information to suggest additional attacks planned” in Washington state but didn’t elaborate.
Authorities initially reported four people were killed- all of them females then said three, before revising the number again.
The Washington State Patrol spokesman speaking on the fluctuation of the reported causality number said it fluctuated as authorities searched the shopping centre. A fifth male victim was reported to have died in the hospital this morning.
Details of the victims were not not however provided, including their ages.
