The Inspector General of Police IGP Mohammed Adamu has announced the deployment of 800 police personnel to Zamfara State to help deal with bandits.
The decision of the IGP was the result of a strategic meeting between Governor Bello Matawalle and the IG at the force headquarters Abuja.
The IGP said the police officers are to maintain law and order, and protect the people of the state from being disturbed by the criminals.

The deployed officers include personel from the Counter Terrorism Unit, Mobile Police, and Special Forces who are to carry out a mop up operation of bandits in the state.
