The FCT Police Command on Saturday morning disrupted the June 12 protests in Gudu area of the federal capital by firing teargas at the protesters.
It was learnt that the protesters had converged as early as 8:30 am to register their grievances against insecurity, poverty, unemployment and other ills in the country.
The protesters chanted solidarity songs including “Enough is enough”, “Buhari must go”, “Say no to injustice”, while marching peaceably
However, the police personnel that stormed the scene in large numbers fired teargas at the protesters, sending them scampering for safety.
