Nancy Chukwu, a housewife in Enugu has been arrested for conspiring with an accomplice Okada rider to fake her kidnap in order to extort the ransom of N200,000 from her husband.
The woman reportedly gave her husband’s number to the commercial bike rider who called her husband to say that his wife had been kidnapped.
Nemesis caught up with the wife who was shacked up with the okada rider, when the husband provided the police with details of the bank account number provided by the alleged kidnapper and accomplice.
The police were able to trace the bank account to a friend of the okada rider.
The wife and okada rider were arrested and confessed to the crime.
