Police arrest Fulani man with human skull in Oyo

2 Min Read

The Police in Oyo have arrested a 30-year-old suspected Fulani man, Musa Ahmed, caught with a human skull in Ogbomoso.

It was gathered that Ahmed,  who claimed to be farmer and herder, and another man were reportedly intercepted in a commercial vehicle by operatives of the Igbeti Area Command, led by ASP Tajudeen Toys, when a human skull was found in a bag belonging to the suspect.

However, Ahmed exonerated himself of any crime, saying he was being victimised because he is a Fulani.

He said, “I went to the motor park to board a car travelling to Ogbomoso from Ilesa Baruba in Kwara State. That was not my first time of travelling through that route. I put my bag in the booth of the vehicle like every other passenger.

“When the police stopped us to check our luggage, my bag was near that of another passenger, who took to his heels as soon as the bags were being checked. Three policemen ran after him but couldn’t catch him.

“So they said I knew about the skull they found in his bag. I was accused because I was the only Fulani man in the vehicle.”

Ahmed is set to be charged to court by the police after a detailed investigation by the State Criminal Investigation and Intelligence Department, Iyaganku Ibadan.
