The Ogun State Police Command has arrested a couple, Moses and Florence Mba, over an altercation that led to the death of 45-year-old Mark Kalu.
It was learnt that Moses, 50, and Florence, 40, got involved in a fight with Kalu on October 8, 2023, in Osiele Market, during which Kalu sustained injuries.
Reports stated that the Babaloja of Osiele and the Igbo Community leader made efforts to mediate and find an amicable solution which proved abortive.
Kalu died on Saturday morning, January 6.
Ogun State Police Public Relations Officer (PPRO), SP Omolola Odutola, disclosed that the matter was reported to the Divisional Police Officer (DPO), Odeda.
She said the suspects have been taken into custody to facilitate preliminary investigation.
Odutola added that the body of the deceased has been deposited at the Federal Medical Centre in Idi Aba for autopsy.
