The police in Kano have arrested 3 people in connection to the murder of an Igbo woman in Kano over alleged blasphemous statements.
Madam Bridget as she was known was lynched by a group of Hausa Youths on Thursday. The news sparked outrage on social media and from other outlets with calls for the police to arrest those responsible and find justice for Madam Bridget.
DSP Magaji Musa Majia Kano Police’s Public relations officer said on the arrests, “We have three suspects in our custody in connection with the incident, and thy were been quizzed over their role in the killing of 74 years woman
“We are working tirelessly to get to the root of this matter, and we are equally not leaving any stone unturned in the course of our investigation”.
