The police on Monday in Abuja, arraigned a 25-year-old salesgirl, Latifah Tijani, in Dutse Grade 1 Area Court for allegedly stealing items valued at N751,500.

Tijani, a resident of SCC Road in Bwari, was charged with theft.
She, however, pleaded not guilty to the charge.
The Prosecutor, Mrs Idowu Ojo, told the court that the matter was reported by one Ganiyu Jennifer of behind Global suits, Bwari, on March 28, at Bwari Police Station.
She explained that the defendant on the same date, at about 7 a.m. called the complainant on the phone to tell her that her shop had been burgled.
The shop, she added, which was located on Sabon-Gari Road in Bwari had then been broken into and items worth N751,500 were stolen.
The prosecutor also said that during police investigation, some of the items, mostly clothes, were found in the possession of the defendant.
Ojo noted that the offence contravened Section 288 of the Penal Code.
The Presiding judge, Mr Suleiman Mohammed, admitted the suspect to bail in the sum of N200,000, with a surety in like sum.
He, however, adjourned the case until June 18, for hearing.
