Strong indications have emerged as regards the plot by the All Progressive Congress APC to remove the Deputy Senate President, Ike Ekeweremadu from office.

Recall that the National Chairman of the APC, John Oyeun had recently opened up on his take about the Deputy senate president. He described Ekweremadu as threat to the APC.

According to Sunday PUNCH, it was gathered that the APC is well satisfied with the recent appointments made by the Senate President, Bukola Saraki in the committees of the upper chamber on Thursday. However, the APC wishes to oust the deputy senate president fot a complete peace process to be achieved.

Recall that the Senate President, Bukola Saraki who assumed office in June last year was said to have been given the condition of choosing a PDP member as his deputy.

Speaking to the news source under the condition of anonymity, an APC chieftain disclosed that the party was not comfortable with the leadership arrangements within the Senate. He added that Saraki should look for a way of “getting him out.”

Another APC leader who spoke on condition of anonymity said, “What Saraki has done is not enough. Ekweremadu must leave that position.”

The National party leader however declined response when contacted about his take on the deputy senate president’s removal. Chief John Odigie-Oyegun, said, “No comment.”
