Plastic surgeons smile to the bank as 1.3m American men get BBLs, lipo and ab implants

In what has been dubbed ‘Daddy Do-Over’, more men in America have been reported undergoing plastic surgeries over the past 20 years to enhance their look.

Daily Mail reports that figures from the American Society of Plastic Surgeons suggest 1.3 million men in the United States are undergoing procedures like liposuction, nose jobs, breast reduction, and even Brazilian Butt Lifts (BBLs).

The society said that the goal for most men who undergo the procedures is to get rid of the ‘dad bod’ they may get from changes in diet or routine after becoming a parent.

Dr Matthew DelMauro, who runs a clinic in Manhattan, New York City, disclosed that 15 percent of his patients are male. He added that this number continues to rise annually.

Dr DelMauro noted that while women gleefully flaunt the results of their plastic surgeries, many men would rather keep their procedures secret.

While the majority of men who undergo these procedures have kept it hush, celebrities Liam Payne and Simon Cowell have been rumoured to have got some after sporting noticeable physical transformations. Chicago rapper BandMan Kevo even confirmed he underwent plastic surgery.

Liposuction, which is a procedure aimed at fat trimming, is still the most popular among men.

Kevo confirmed he had liposuction and BBL.

Writing about his reasons for getting the procedures, he told his Instagram followers: 'I was working out hard and still couldn't lose my stomach fat'

“I was working out hard and still couldn’t lose my stomach fat.

“I was 284 now I’m 220, but you still have to work out hard.’

“I had them take fat from everywhere to form my sh*t. My lower back, my legs, everywhere. Everything was weird about my body because I weighed 284,’ Kevo wrote.
