Mallam Bashir, Bauchi State Publicity Secretary of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), has said that the party has no plans to change Muhammed Awwal Jatau as the PDP governorship candidate in the state.
Bashir said “Jatau contested and won the ticket of the party after the completion of the primary election among aspirants. Since Almighty Allah who gives power to everyone gave him the ticket the party has no plan to replace him with anybody.”
He added that “the party and other stakeholders are working hard to reconcile with them. Already, many of them like Senator Adamu Gumba, Bappah Azare, and Babayo Gamawa are attending our meetings and we have already reached former Minister of Health, Dr. Ali Pate, and Insha Allah we will continue with our reconciliation efforts to work together for the success of the party.”
