Honourable Femi Gbajabiamila who is the Speaker of the House of Representatives, inaugurated an ad-hoc committee to conduct investigation into the recent P&ID judgement debt which amounts to $9.6billion in the ruling of a United Kingdom commercial court against Nigeria.
Honourable Sada Soli, a member of the Katsina All Progressives Congress (APC), will head the ad-hoc committee. Soli is expected to invite the Ministers of Petroleum, Justice including officers of the ministries, charged with the responsibility of negotiating the agreement with P&ID and prosecuting the matter at the Tribunal.

The Tribunal would give a situational report on the judgement, shedding more light to find lapses in judgement of time and due diligence in the ruling of the case with goal to finding solutions to the barrage of existing and subsequent cases.

Honourable Julius Ihonvbere who is also a member of the All Progressives Congress sponsored the motion at the plenary.
