In the latest issue of Elle magazine, rapper Nicki Minaj goes back to the basics in a beautiful, yet surprising makeunder.
The 30 year-old American Idol judge strips her look down, rocking a black leather jacket with tousled hair and minimal makeup.
Gracing the cover of the magazine, Nicki explained to Elle that the shoot was a big step for her, as she is used to her over the top wardrobe and full makeup looks.
“I’m so, so attached to my pink lipstick, it’s hard,” Minaj explained. “To go in front of the camera without pink lips or big ol’ crazy lashes – you know, nothing – I felt naked.”
Inside the magazine, Nicki is shown in additional shots, wearing basic black slacks paired with a graphic tank top, a plain white shirt, and a cool basket weave tank with statement skirt.
