One of the injured lecturers of the University of Maiduguri which was attacked by the Islamist-Jihadist sect, Boko Haram, Dr Babagoni Shettima, has been reported to have lost his son in the attack.
The lecturer who is currently receiving and responding to treatment was reported to have lost his son in the attack which was reported to have occurred in the early hours of Monday at about 5:25am.
Following the attack, the Boko Haram group leader, Abubakar Shekau has in an audio message released on YouTube claimed responsibility for the attack adding tat the mosque was practicing ‘ungodly’ activities.
The lost son of the lecturer was laid to rest yesterday in Gwange, Borno State.
