The Governor of Bauchi State, Bala Mohammed, has ordered for a school to be built for some pupils he saw studying under a tree in a remote village in the state.
According to Mohammed’s spokesman, Ladan Salihu, the governor was passing by when he saw the pupils and immediately ordered his convoy to stop so that he could assess the situation.
Salihu wrote: “HE MADE MY DAY! Governor Bala Mohammed stopped his convoy when (he) spotted these kids studying in make-shift shanties, some under a tree. He interacted with the kids and directed for a school to be built for them.”
